Te Atatu Constable Jodi Browne left more than fond memories at her first posting in Munda in the Solomon Islands – she left a namesake. Jodi says one night she was awakened by a phone call from a local police officer requesting help to drive a heavily pregnant woman, in labour, to hospital.
ON 28 November 1979, Air New Zealand flight 901, a DC10 registered ZK-NZP, crashed into Mt Erebus on Ross Island, Antarctica, instantly killing all 257 people on board. |
