'Protect your stuff' video well watched A short video of tips to help people keep their homes safe from burglars was watched more than 700 times in its first month on the Internet.
In the video, Sergeant Tania Van Ooyen from Wellington District takes people through a few simple ways to make their homes less of a target for burglars. Inspector Carey Griffiths, Acting National Manager Community Policing, says it’s the first in a series of short crime prevention videos Police plan to put on the web over the next few months. “It’s another way of getting crime prevention messages out to the public. “The videos will all be very short, easy to understand and remind people about basic things you can do to keep yourself and your property safe.” The video can be accessed through the “safety tips” section of the Police website, www.police.govt.nz |
