Super City policing for new AC
Policing the Auckland Super City will be at the heart of Allan Boreham’s new role as the recently announced Assistant Police Commissioner for Auckland. District Commander Waikato since January 2008, one of Allan’s first tasks will be to assure Commissioner Howard Broad that the Police structures in Auckland are aligned with the new local body to achieve safer community objectives. In doing this, he will draw on considerable analysis undertaken by the former Assistant Commissioner, Steve Shortland. He will also draw on 25 years worth of policing experience, much of which has been spent in Auckland. As the Assistant Commissioner Auckland, Allan will be the most senior police officer in metropolitan Auckland. |
